કપાસના ભાવે જીનર્સ, સ્પિનિંગ મિલોને મુશ્કેલીમાં મૂક્યા છે.કપાસના ભાવમાં અસ્થિરતા ગુજરાતના વિકાસશીલ કોટન સ્પિનિંગ ઉદ્યોગને અસર કરી રહી છે. મોટાભાગની સિઝનમાં ભારતીય સુતરાઉ યાર્નના ભાવ વૈશ્વિક સ્તરો કરતાં વધુ હોવાથી, ઘણા જિનિંગ અને સ્પિનિંગ એકમો સતત બીજા વર્ષે નુકસાનનો સામનો કરી રહ્યા છે.એવું માનવામાં આવે છે કે ઓગસ્ટમાં ઉત્તરીય રાજ્યોમાં નવો પાક આવવાની ધારણા છે, જેના કારણે ભાવમાં વધુ વધારો થશે નહીં. સૂત્રોના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, નબળી નાણાકીય કામગીરી ધરાવતી ઘણી સ્પિનિંગ મિલો ભાગીદારીમાં ફેરફાર તરફ ધ્યાન આપી રહી છે.દક્ષિણ ભારતમાં 50% થી વધુ સ્પિનિંગ મિલોએ માંગ અને અનુભૂતિના અભાવને કારણે ઉત્પાદન બંધ કરી દીધું છે અને યાર્નની માંગ પણ ઓછી છે.ગુજરાતમાં લગભગ 120 સ્પિનિંગ મિલો છે જે મુખ્યત્વે સૌરાષ્ટ્રમાં આવેલી છે જેની કુલ સ્થાપિત ક્ષમતા 45 લાખથી વધુ સ્પિન્ડલ છે. સ્પિનર્સ એસોસિએશન ગુજરાત (SAG) ના વાઇસ પ્રેસિડેન્ટ જયેશ પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, “સ્પિનિંગ સેક્ટર માટે છેલ્લી સિઝન ખૂબ જ મુશ્કેલ હતી અને આ સિઝન પણ કપરી રહી છે. વર્ષના મોટાભાગના ભાગમાં ભારતીય કપાસના ભાવ આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય કિંમતો કરતા ઉંચા રહ્યા અને તેથી, સ્પિનિંગ મિલો યાર્નના પુરવઠા માટે આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય બજારમાં સ્પર્ધાત્મક ન હતી. સ્થાનિક માંગ પણ નબળી રહી અને સ્પિનિંગ સેક્ટરે સતત બીજા વર્ષે ખોટ નોંધાવી. અમે માનીએ છીએ કે નવા પાકનું આગમન ઉત્તરીય રાજ્યોમાં ઓગસ્ટમાં શરૂ થશે અને સુનિશ્ચિત કરશે કે કપાસના ભાવમાં કોઈ તીવ્ર વધારો ન થાય.ભાવમાં વધઘટના કારણે જીનરોને પણ નુકશાની વેઠવી પડી છે. ગુજરાત ચેમ્બર ઓફ કોમર્સ એન્ડ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રી (GCCI)ના સેક્રેટરી અપૂર્વ શાહે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, “ગયા વર્ષે સિઝનની શરૂઆતમાં કપાસના ભાવમાં વધારો થયો હતો અને પછી ઘટાડો થયો હતો. જિનિંગ યુનિટો ઊંચા ભાવે ખરીદ્યા હતા. હાલમાં, કિંમત રૂ. 63,000 ની સરેરાશ પ્રાપ્તિ કિંમત સામે કેન્ડી (356 કિગ્રા) દીઠ રૂ. 58,000 આસપાસ છે.સૂત્રોએ વધુમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે ઘણા સ્પિનિંગ અને જિનિંગ એકમો, જેઓ નફો કરી શકતા નથી, તેઓ ભાગીદારીમાં બદલાવ જોઈ રહ્યા છે. “કેટલીક જિનિંગ અને સ્પિનિંગ મિલો વેચાણ માટે છે પરંતુ ઉચ્ચ અનિશ્ચિતતાનો અર્થ છે કે તેઓ સોદા બંધ કરી શક્યા નથી. તેથી, ભાગીદારો એકમોમાં તેમનો હિસ્સો વેચી રહ્યા છે, ”એસએજીના સભ્યએ જણાવ્યું હતું.
