A weak Western Disturbance is likely to reach Western Himalayas around January 1.
*Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours*
During the last 24 hours, the minimum temperatures over Northwest and Central India have dropped significantly. Cold wave conditions have arisen in one or two areas of Delhi and NCR, Haryana and Rajasthan.
Light to moderate rain occurred at one or two places over Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
Light to moderate rain occurred over some parts of Vidarbha, remaining parts of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim.
Light rain occurred over Central and East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Assam and Coastal Tamil Nadu and light rain fell on one of the friends in Marathwada.
Dense fog covered some areas of Uttar Pradesh.
*Weather activity likely during next 24 hours*
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls is likely over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Coastal Tamil Nadu.
Light to moderate rain may occur over parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Interior Tamil Nadu.
The minimum temperatures are likely to drop further over Northwest and Central India. Cold wave conditions may intensify over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi NCR.
Parts of Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh may see moderate to dense fog.
Scattered light rain and snow may occur over the Western Himalayas between January 1 and January 3.
Rain and snow activities will increase significantly in Western Himalayas from January 4.
