The Indian rupee strengthened on Thursday, Rupee closed at 83.8700 against the U.S. dollar at, up 0.1% from 83.9525 in the previous session
Sensex hit a fresh record high of 82,285.83, while the Nifty 50 scaled a fresh peak of 25,192.90 during the session. The Sensex finally closed 349 points, or 0.43 per cent, higher at 82,134.61. The Nifty 50 settled at 25,151.95, up 100 points, or 0.40 per cent.
