CCI Boosts Cotton Prices, sold 66% of 2024–25 Procurement via E-Bidding

The Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) conducted online bidding for cotton bales throughout the week, with significant trading activity observed across both the Mills and Traders sessions. Over the course of five days, CCI increased its prices by a total of ₹1,000 per candy.

As of now, CCI has sold approximately 66,89,400 cotton bales for the 2024–25 season, representing 66.89% of its total procurement for the season.

Date wise weekly Sales Summary :-

07 July 2025:
A total of 1,93,000 bales were sold — including 1,92,800 bales from the 2024–25 season and 200 bales from the 2023–24 season.

Mills session: 55,000 bales
Traders session: 1,37,800 bales (including 200 bales from 2023–24)

08 July 2025:
The highest daily sales of the week were recorded on this day, with 3,10,000 bales sold — 3,09,900 bales (2024–25) and 100 bales (2023–24).

Mills session: 87,200 bales
Traders session: 2,22,800 bales (including 100 bales from 2023–24)

09 July 2025:
Sales amounted to 2,33,000 bales, all from the 2024–25 season.

Mills session: 72,500 bales
Traders session: 1,60,500 bales

10 July 2025:
A total of 1,82,500 bales were sold — 1,82,400 bales (2024–25) and 100 bales (2023–24).

Mills session: 80,900 bales (including 100 bales from 2023–24)
Traders session: 1,01,600 bales

11 July 2025:
The week concluded with sales of 1,25,300 bales, all from the 2024–25 season.

Mills session: 44,100 bales
Traders session: 81,200 bales

Weekly Total:
CCI achieved total sales of approximately 10,43,800 bales for the week, underscoring its strong market engagement and the growing efficiency of its digital transaction platform.
