The rupee appreciated 3 paise against the dollar this evening, closing at Rs 83.31.
At the end of trading, BSE Sensex closed at 73,953.31, up 52.62 points or 0.071%. Whereas NSE's 50-share index Nifty closed at 22,529.05 with a gain of 27.05 points or 0.12%.
