A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to reach North India by April 19.
Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at one or two places over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka and South Chhattisgarh.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Interior Karnataka, South Madhya Maharashtra and rest of Northeast India.
Light rain occurred in isolated parts of Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Himachal Pradesh.
Heat wave conditions prevailed over isolated parts of Northwest Rajasthan and Delhi NCR.
Weather activity likely during next 24 hours
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls at isolated places is possible over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Light to moderate rain may occur at isolated places over rest of Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka and South Chhattisgarh.
Light to moderate rain is possible over Western Himalayas during next 24 to 48 hours.
Heat wave conditions are possible over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, parts of Jammu division, isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh and Vidarbha. From April 19, severe heat conditions are possible in different parts of these states.
