A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over South-West Bay of Bengal, extending up to mid-troposphere level.
A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to approach the Western Himalayas by the night of 12 April.
Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls occurred over Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and Sikkim, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Rest of Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Interior Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka and parts of Lakshadweep received light to moderate rains.
Scattered light rain occurred over North Interior Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir.
Heat wave conditions prevailed at most places with severe heat wave conditions in some parts of West Rajasthan.
