Weather systems made across the country
The deep low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has centered as a depression over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea at 5:30 am today and was near Latitude 9.8N and Longitude 92.5E . It was located approximately 80 km north-west of Car Nicobar and 210 km south-west of Port Blair. It is very likely to move northwards along Andaman and Nicobar Islands and intensify into a deep depression by this evening. It may intensify into a cyclone by March 21 and reach northern Myanmar for the southeast Bangladesh coast by the morning of March 22.
A Western Disturbance can be seen over North Afghanistan and adjoining region.
The Induced Cyclonic Circulation lies over Central Pakistan.
A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Vidarbha and adjoining areas.
A pressure line is extending from Northeast Madhya Pradesh to Interior Karnataka via a cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha.
Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, Andaman and Nicobar Islands experienced light to moderate rain with heavy falls at a few places.
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred over South Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and parts of Telangana.
Scattered rains occurred over Sikkim, Lakshadweep, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
Heat wave conditions were observed over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu region, parts of West Rajasthan and isolated parts of West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
Weather activity likely during next 24 hours
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls very likely over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Sea condition will remain rough over Andaman Sea with wind speed reaching 60 to 70 kmph gusting to 50 kmph.
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are very likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, parts of North Interior Karnataka, Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.
Light rain is possible in isolated parts of Telangana, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
Light rain is possible over Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and isolated parts of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Light snowfall is also possible in the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashm
