The Indian rupee opened 11 paise higher against the US dollar on Tuesday tracking gains in other Asian currencies and positive risk sentiment. The local currency opened at 81.71 a dollar as compared to the previous close of 81.82.
Today the stock market opened with a boom. Today, the BSE Sensex opened at a level of 66427.29 points with a gain of about 42.51 points. On the other hand, the NSE's Nifty opened at a level of 19690.60 points with a gain of 18.30 points.
