At the close of trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 81,867.73, up 126.38 points or 0.15%. During the day, the Sensex touched a new all-time high of 82,129.49. The NSE's 50-share index Nifty closed at 25,004.00, up 52.85 points or 0.21%. The Nifty also hit a new peak of 25,078.30 during the day.
