A Low Pressure Area is persisting over South Interior Odisha and adjoining areas. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and is moving towards southwest with elevation.
The Monsoon Trough is now passing through the center of a low pressure area over Bikaner, Kota, Sagar, Raipur, South Interior Odisha and then moving towards South East Central Bay of Bengal.
The Offshore Trough at Mean Sea Level is extending from Gujarat Coast to Karnataka Coast.
The East West Shear Zone operates in north peninsular India with an altitude between 3.1 and 5.8 km above sea level with a southward tilt with a latitude of about 20 degrees.
During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain at isolated places occurred over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, North Punjab, South Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Gangetic West. Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells occurred over Bengal, Assam and Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Light to moderate rain occurred over remaining parts of Gujarat, parts of Haryana, Konkan and Goa, Lakshadweep, North Interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and parts of Jharkhand.
Light rain occurred over South India Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, South-East Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh, North-East India and foothills of East Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir.
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls is likely over South and Central Madhya Pradesh, parts of Chhattisgarh, North Telangana, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Haryana, Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells is possible over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Marathwada, Southeast Rajasthan.
Light to moderate rain in some parts of Punjab, remaining parts of Rajasthan, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Jharkhand, North Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, possible.
Light rain may occur at one or two places over Ladakh, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Northeast India and Gangetic West Bengal and foothills of Uttar Pradesh and parts of Bihar.
