Rupee open 5 paise up at 86.84 against the dollar

At 86.84, the rupee opened 5 paise higher than the dollar.

Indian rupee opened higher by 5 paise at 86.84 per dollar on friday versus previous close of 86.89.

The rupee opened 5 paise up on February 14, tracking gains in Asian peers following relief that US President Donald Trump reciprocal tariff plan will not kick in immediately, which also led to marginal easing in the dollar index.
