The Indian rupee on Thursday higher 09 paise to close at 93.19 per dollar, while it opened at 93.28 in the morning.
At close, the Sensex was down 122.56 points or 0.16 percent at 77,988.68, and the Nifty was down 34.55 points or 0.14 percent at 24,196.75. About 2688 shares advanced, 1468 shares declined, and 128 shares unchanged.
