The rupee higher by 23 paise against the dollar to close at 94.66

On Wednesday the Indian Rupee higher by 23 paise to close at 94.66 against the US dollar, after opening at 94.89 in morning trade.
At close, the Sensex was up 790.54 points or 1.04 percent at 76,991.22, and the Nifty was up 197.55 points or 0.83 percent at 24,021.65. About 2107 shares advanced, 1970 shares declined, and 162 shares unchanged.
