Maharashtra's first tech textile park in Dharashiv
Maharashtra is setting up its first technical textile park in Dharashiv (Osmanabad) district of Marathwada region. The textile park will be built on 308 acres in Kaudgaon MIDC and an outlay of Rs 118 crore (US$ 13.76 million) has been planned for it.
The first phase of the project costing Rs 16 crore (US$ 1.86 million) has already begun, which was inaugurated by BJP MLA Rana Jagjitsinh Patil. Many renowned businesses from across the world are contributing crores to this initiative, which will provide employment to many residents of Dharashiv.
The Kaudgaon area is strategically located for this textile park. It is located 13 km from Dharashiv town and Dharashiv railway station and has excellent connectivity to major road networks, with SH 65 Dharashiv-Barshi being at a distance of 3 km.
Kaudgaon MIDC gets power from MSEDCL 33/11 kV substation located at a distance of 5 km and Mahagenco's 50 MW solar park is present near the textile park. Reliance gas pipeline of 600 mm diameter is available near the park. Ujani dam is a source of water for the park which has provision of 20 MLD water supply.
