The Indian rupee on monday higher 05 paise to close at 88.21 per dollar, while it opened at 88.26 in the morning.
At close, the Sensex was down 118.96 points or 0.15 percent at 81,785.74, and the Nifty was down 44.80 points or 0.18 percent at 25,069.20. About 2052 shares advanced, 1756 shares declined, and 163 shares unchanged.
