Conditions are becoming favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of South and Central Bay of Bengal and some parts of South Arabian Sea during next 48 hours.
A Cyclonic Circulation lies over North Interior Tamil Nadu and adjoining region.
A trough is extending from Northeast Madhya Pradesh to Interior Tamil Nadu across Vidarbha, Marathwada and Interior Karnataka.
A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over East Central parts of Rajasthan.
A Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining region.
An East West Trough is running from North West Rajasthan to West Assam passing through South Uttar Pradesh, South Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains occurred over many parts of Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Kerala.
Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, rest of Northeast India and parts of Karnataka.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Uttarakhand.
Light rain occurred at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, North Punjab, North Haryana, Jharkhand, Goa and Northeast Madhya Pradesh.
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls is likely over Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Assam and Meghalaya.
Light to moderate rain may occur over rest of Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, East parts of Bihar, parts of Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and parts of Himachal Pradesh.
Light rain is possible over Uttarakhand, East Jharkhand, parts of Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, South Konkan and Goa, one or two parts of South Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Tamil Nadu.
Heat wave is possible in isolated parts of Rajasthan, South Haryana and Madhya Pradesh and heatwave may reach parts of Odisha by May 21 and 22.
