The rupee fell 4 paise versus the dollar this evening, closing at Rs 83.45.
At the end of trading, BSE Sensex closed at 73,399.78, down 845.12 points or 1.14%. NSE's 50-share index Nifty fell 241.55 points or 1.07% and closed at 22,277.85.
