This evening, the rupee fell 12 paise to settle at 84.85 vs the US dollar
At the close, the Sensex was up 1.59 points or 0.00 per cent at 81,510.05, and the Nifty was down 8.95 points or 0.04 per cent at 24,610.05. About 1970 stocks advanced, 1828 declined and 122 stocks remained unchanged.
