Rupee opened weak against the dollar today. Today, the rupee opened at a level of Rs 82.74 against the dollar with a weakness of 2 paise. On the other hand, on Thursday, the rupee closed at a level of Rs 82.72 against the dollar with a weakness of 14 paise.
Domestic stock markets surged in the opening session on Friday amid mixed global cues. Except India VIX, all broad market indices opened in green, and except for healthcare index, all sectoral indices also opened the session positive.
The BSE benchmark Sensex rose 213.88 points, or 0.33 percent, to 65,454.56, while the NSE Nifty 50 jumped 75.35 points, or 0.39 percent, to 19,457.
