Rupee rises 7 paise to 81.97 against US dollar
The Indian rupee opened higher against the US dollar on Tuesday tracking gains in Asian currencies along with recovery in the Chinese yuan. The local unit opened at 81.97 per dollar as compared to its previous close of 82.04.
