A Western Disturbance has been observed over North Pakistan and adjoining areas.
A trough is extending from Vidarbha to South Interior Karnataka across Marathwada and North Interior Karnataka at lower levels.
A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Sri Lanka and adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu.
Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, heat wave conditions to severe heat wave conditions were observed over most parts of West Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Many parts of East Rajasthan, Jammu Division, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand and isolated parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Light to moderate rain occurred at one or two places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, parts of Assam and Tamil Nadu.
Light to moderate rain occurred over rest of Northeast India, Sikkim, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, parts of South Madhya Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
There was isolated light rain in Marathwada and Chhattisgarh.
Weather activity likely during next 24 hours
During the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of heat to severe heat wave conditions in many parts of Rajasthan. Heat wave conditions are very likely to occur at isolated places with one or two places in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on April 11. From April 12, the intensity and spread of heat wave may decrease over Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.
Heat wave conditions are likely over Madhya Pradesh, parts of Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu division, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on April 12 and 13.
Light to moderate rain is very likely over parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Light to moderate rain is likely over rest of Northeast India, rest parts of Tamil Nadu, parts of South Madhya Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
Light rain may occur at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
