The rupee opened steady at 94.46 against the US dollar.
On October 22, the Indian rupee opened unchanged against the US dollar. It opened at 94.46 per dollar, the same level at which it had closed on Wednesday.
The Sensex fell by 500.67 points, or 0.68 percent, to 73,209.02, while the Nifty dropped by 190.20 points, or 0.83 percent, to 22,621.15.
