On September 4, the Indian rupee opened 2 paise stronger against the dollar at 94.47, whereas it had closed at 94.49 on Thursday.
In early trade, the Sensex rose by over 500 points, and the Nifty remained above the 23,900 mark. At 9:20 AM, the Sensex was trading at 76,664.98, up 512.12 points or 0.67% from the previous close of 76,152.86. The Nifty was trading at 23,926.60, up 53.15 points or 0.22% from the previous close of 23,873.45.
