The Indian rupee on Thursday opened higher by 11 paise against the US dollar as the greenback weakened despite Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's sharp comments against US lawmakers. The local currency opened at 81.93 per dollar as compared to the previous close of 82.04.
