The Indian rupee on Thursday lower 03 paise to close at 91.60 per dollar, while it opened at 91.57 in the morning.
Benchmark indices ended sharply higher on Thursday, with the Sensex rising 900 points, or 1.14 percent, to close at 80,015, while the Nifty gained 285 points, or 1.17 percent, to settle at 24,765.
