Indian Rupee Falls 26 Paise to Close at 95.19 Against US Dollar.
The Indian rupee weakened by 26 paise against the US dollar on Monday, closing at ₹95.19 per dollar.
The domestic currency opened at ₹94.93 against the US dollar and fluctuated throughout the trading session. It eventually closed at ₹95.19, down 26 paise from the opening level.
At close, the Sensex was up 482.92 points or 0.66 percent at 73,606.75, and the Nifty was up 153.20 points or 0.68 percent at 22,753.20. About 2262 shares advanced, 1895 shares declined, and 186 shares unchanged.
