The rupee had closed at 95.55 on Friday; today, it opened at 95.76 per dollar, a decline of 21 paise.
The BSE Sensex rose by 243.82 points, or 0.33%, to reach 75,025.58. The index had opened at 75,369.63. The Nifty 50 opened at 23,576.15 and rose by 61.25 points, or 0.26%, to reach 23,459.35.
