The Indian rupee closed at 83.60 per dollar on Wednesday, up 7 paise from Tuesday's close of 83.67 per dollar
At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 85,169.87 with a gain of 255.83 points or 0.30 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty closed at 26,004.15 with a gain of 63.75 points or 0.25 percent.
