Indian Rupee Strengthens by 27 Paisa, Closes at 86.96 per Dollar
The Indian rupee on wednesday higher 27 paise to close at 86.96 per dollar, while it opened at 87.23 in the morning.
At close, the Sensex was up 740.30 points or 1.01 percent at 73,730.23, and the Nifty was up 254.65 points or 1.15 percent at 22,337.30. About 3116 shares advanced, 734 shares declined, and 85 shares unchanged.
