Monday's closing price of the Indian rupee was 86.33 per dollar, 13 paise less than Friday's finish of 86.20.
At close, the Sensex was down 824.29 points or 1.08 percent at 75,366.17, and the Nifty was down 263.05 points or 1.14 percent at 22,829.15. About 541 shares advanced, 3399 shares declined, and 115 shares unchanged.
