The Indian rupee concluded trading at a new all-time low of 87.46 per dollar on Wednesday, compared to the morning's rate of 87.12.

At close, the Sensex was down 312.53 points or 0.40 percent at 78,271.28, and the Nifty was down 42.95 points or 0.18 percent at 23,696.30. About 2470 shares advanced, 1345 shares declined, and 130 shares unchanged.
