A deep low pressure area over Gujarat has intensified into a depression over Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Kutch. It is very likely to further intensify into a deep depression by this evening and intensify into a Cyclone Shaheen in the subsequent 24 hours. It will move in a west-northwest direction close to Pakistan and Makran coast. Thereafter it will move away from the Indian mainland.
A low pressure area is over Jharkhand and the associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to mid-troposphere level.
A trough is extending from a cyclonic circulation associated with Depression over Northeast Arabian Sea to a cyclonic circulation associated with Low Pressure Area over Jharkhand in Madhya Pradesh.

During the last 24 hours, Gangetic West Bengal experienced moderate to heavy rain with very heavy rainfall at a few places.
Light to moderate rain at isolated places occurred over Gujarat, parts of Goa, North Coast of Karnataka as well as Coastal Tamil Nadu.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Assam.
Rest of Northeast India, parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, isolated parts of Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Lakshadweep received light rain.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain at isolated places is likely to occur over West Bengal, Bihar, parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
Light to moderate rain may occur over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Lakshadweep and Kerala.
