The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining parts of Ladakh is getting away.
A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to approach the Western Himalayas by January 21.
A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Central parts of Bangladesh.
Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Jammu and Kashmir received light rain and scattered light snowfall.
Hotel Tamil Nadu, especially Chennai and adjoining areas received isolated light rain.
From cold day to severe cold day situation prevails in Uttar Pradesh. And parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Bihar witnessed cold day conditions.
Dense to very dense fog was observed over northern parts of Madhya Pradesh, parts of Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Weather activity likely during next 24 hours
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain and snow is very likely to occur over Western Himalayas on January 19.
Light rain with one or two moderate rains may occur over Northeast India especially over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.
Light to very light rain may occur at one or two places over northern parts of Punjab.
Parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are likely to experience cold to very cold days. And cold day may remain in isolated areas of Haryana and Delhi.
Dense to very dense fog is possible over parts of Punjab, Bihar and Northeast India.
