The Deep Depression has weakened into a Depression and now lies as a Deep Sleep Pressure Area over Gangetic West Bengal and South Bangladesh. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level.
A trough is extending from a cyclonic circulation associated with a Deep Neck Depression over Gangetic West Bengal and South Bangladesh to Coastal Odisha to Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Northeast Arabian Sea off South Gujarat coast.
The Western Disturbance is moving eastwards.
Another fresh Western Disturbance has been observed over North Afghanistan and adjoining North Pakistan.
*Weather movement across the country during the last 24 hours*
During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains occurred over Gangetic West Bengal and north coast of Odisha.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by heavy rain occurred at one or two places over South Tamil Nadu.
Rest of Odisha and parts of Kerala received light to moderate rains.
Snowfall occurred at many places with light to moderate rain and heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.
Light rain occurred at isolated places over North Coast of Odisha, Interior Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Northwest Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
*Weather activity likely during next 24 hours*
During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain is very likely at isolated places over Meghalaya, East Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and parts of Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Light to moderate rain may occur over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
On December 6, scattered snowfall is also possible over Western Himalayas. Another spell of rain and snow is expected in the Western Himalayas between December 8 and 9, which will be comparatively mild.
Light rain is possible at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
